When the Garlean occupation tightened its grip on Doma, lawful order collapsed entirely, and she was eventually captured outright claimed not as a servant, but as property. It was there, in chains and silence, that she learned the true shape of helplessness.Her fate changed when a Doman shinobi an aging operative working beyond the reach of both Empire and collaborators encountered her during a covert operation. Seeing both potential and a familiar emptiness in her eyes, he gave her freedom. No grand speeches were given, no promises made. Only a blade placed at her feet, and a choice: remain prey, or learn to survive.Tayuya chose the night.Under her new master’s guidance, she was trained in the hidden arts of the shinobi espionage, assassination, infiltration, and escape. The guilty disappeared. The enslaved were freed. No one ever learned the name of the wind that passed through that estate.Yet with Doma’s liberation and her master’s eventual withdrawal from the shadows, Tayuya found herself restless. The life of a shinobi had given her freedom but also questions. She was no longer content to exist solely as a weapon shaped by suffering.Leaving the East behind, she ventured west and eventually crossed paths with the Starlit Knights, an adventurer’s guild known for defending the vulnerable and exposing hidden evils, that later became known as New Dawn. Among them, Tayuya found something unfamiliar but precious: purpose chosen, not imposed.After a while of being in the west she missed the feeling of home and decided to return to the east where she now works as a waitress living a quiet life free of the burdens she had as a shinobi.
